The Space
Rock Pine Cabin is a recently renovated home that offers the warmth of a woodsy retreat with the ease of modern amenities. Set back from the road, this spacious 1,800-square-foot house is ensconced in five acres of pine, hemlock and maple trees. The cedar walls were hand-built by an area resident more than 30 years ago. Guests feel that warm craftsmanship from the moment you arrive.
Rock Pine welcomes animals—domestic and wild. Look for families of deer (and the occasional friendly black bear).
The ground floor is an open concept with a dining areas and newly-renovated kitchen. The living room’s high vaulted ceilings and paneled walls provide cozy character to the space. A cheery bay window and two reading nooks invite guests to recline and relax. Towards the back of the first floor is a queen-size bedroom and a new full bathroom with a washer/dryer.
Upstairs the bright sizable primary bedroom offers four large windows with a view of the property’s pines, a new king size bed, and a full wall of closets. There is a smaller bedroom with another new queen-sized bed with its own forest view. An oversized full bathroom with a walk-in shower provides a spa-inspired escape.
All three bedrooms have a writing desk for remote work or rural contemplation. Outside, a Weber grill and fire pit are perfect for communal cookouts and stargazing nights.
Rock Pine Cabin is just one mile from the center of Eldred, 10 minutes to adorable Barryville for small shops and restaurants, and a 20-minute drive to the river town Narrowsburg which Travel + Leisure named one of the Best Small Towns in New York.
